Neuroscience and Psychology of Music is an elective course in the graduate program in Neuroscience and Cognition.
This course explores how the intersection of music, psychology and neuroscience has been contributing to the understanding of human behavior and brain function. The following topics are discussed: the possible origins of musical behavior; music acquisition, perception, and memory; associations between music and other cognitive skills; music and emotion; music and brain plasticity; musical performance and creativity from the perspective of music cognition.
